After initial assessment, a comprehensive strategy is developed to meet the basic needs of the individual or family. This may include any/all of the following: Emergency Food Bags, placement in our Food Box (A Simple Gesture) ministry, Clothing, personal hygiene items, furniture/household goods, providing collaborative in-house services such as; shelter (GOHC), and Addictions counselling (ACADC). The HC also acts as a “portal” to a host of City/County services. Spiritual guidance and prayer is always a priority when needed.
Our warehouse contains organized racks of like-new clothing that are completely FREE to anyone in need. Clients may take:
- 3 bottoms
- 4 tops
- 1 jacket
- 1 coat in a 6 month period
- 2 miscellaneous items (such as shoes, underwear, belts, etc.)
- 1 pajama set
- 1 sheet set
- 1 blanket in a 6 month period
- Businesswear/suits available in addition to regular allowances for interviews, court, etc.
Occasionally furniture, toiletries, hygiene products and household linens are available as well. Guests can return once every two months for more clothing assistance, or if homeless, once every month.
